He radiates joy, and his genuine and consistently peaceful state of mind is immediately evident. He is quick to smile and freely shares the liberating message: release the illusion of separation, for only Love is real; Love is all there is, and It is here now.

David Hoffmeister—Happy for No Earthly Reason
David is a living demonstration that peace is possible. He is world-renowned for his practical application of A Course in Miracles (ACIM), a non-compromising, non dual pathway to Awakening. His clarity about the function of forgiveness in spiritual Awakening and the purity of the message he shares point directly to the Source.
For over 35 years, David has traveled to 44 countries across 6 continents to extend the message that truth is available for everyone. His teachings have been translated into 14 languages and taken into the hearts and minds of millions through the intimate style of his books, audios, and videos.
“If you can come to that state of seeing the impossibility of duality, you will see that you’ve never done anything ‘wrong’ in this lifetime … and you’ve never done anything ‘right!’ This world is the belief that opposites are possible. If you’re going to reach a state of unification and pure Oneness, you have to forgive the positive as well as the negative.” —David Hoffmeister
“When you give up trying to control the direction of the wind, the feather of serenity will gently make its way to you.”

Why the Non Dual Pathway of A Course in Miracles?
Well, from an early age, I was always questioning. Nothing of this world seemed to make any sense to me, and for the longest time, until my late 20s, and despite 10 years of university study at that point, I felt no clear direction for my life. I felt that unless my heart was in it, unless I felt a passion for it, I would not devote my life to it.
In 1986, in my late 20s, I was completing my master’s degree in transpersonal psychology when I came across A Course in Miracles. I had spent many years at university studying philosophy, psychology, and religion, eastern religion; but when I came across the Course, I knew my life would never be the same. Unstoppable waves of love would wash over me each time I opened the book, it was like a tsunami of love! I knew I had found my path, and for the next two years I took myself into a hermitage experience and studied the Course for up to eight hours a day, immersing my mind in its extremely practical teachings.
The Course says, “An untrained mind can accomplish nothing,” and so I gave my complete and devoted attention and willingness to applying the teachings of the Course to every area of my mind and to all concepts that I held dear, and I was led directly into a consistent experience of Oneness, of Love without end.
Since those early years, I have shared the message of Presence and Oneness with thousands of people, which is my deepest honor and joy! I welcome you to join me on this practical and incredible adventure into a direct experience of “Know Thyself,” through the non dual teachings of A Course in Miracles.
Love, David
“The ego has convinced us of our identification with a ‘personal’ sense of self, and so Awakening requires retraining our thought system; the non dual teaching of A Course in Miracles refers to it as mind training. How we do this practically is to step back and pay attention to the thoughts that come into awareness. Preferences are judgments, and as the mind yields to the non-judgmental Perspective, the Awakening is obvious. Observe that, as long as egoic desires seem to exist, there are ego defenses of indulgence and repression. Neither is better nor worse than the other, for they are the same illusion. An authentic non dual perspective offers a real alternative, and when one is consistently right-minded, defenses are no longer needed. You are ready to awaken to Oneness.”

“On a recent trip to China, I was in Beijing with some friends, and my friend who was driving began apologizing for the city. I said, ‘Why, what do you mean?’ He said, ‘Oh, our city has so much pollution, our city is grey and full of smog and you can’t see the sun.’ I immediately responded, ‘Oh, I enjoy grey, I’m very happy with grey; I like grey!’ Everyone in the car started laughing and became very happy. In my mind I wasn’t judging grey. I wasn’t judging, Oh, this terrible smog, it’s so grey; I don’t have those kinds of thoughts. My mind was simply happy to be in Beijing, enjoying everyone and everything that was around me.”

“Every time someone seems upset or defensive and the upset is traced into the mind, it always comes down to the concept of personhood. Even if one is offended at the idea of pollution in the air, it still comes back to the belief that one is in this environment and that pollution is an affront to oneself, a person. Every single upset can be traced to a basic subject-object split in which the person, the ‘me,’ is subject and the rest of the cosmos is object. The whole idea of personhood has to be questioned very carefully.”

“I just wanted to take a moment to express my gratitude toward the fearless, open-hearted teaching that David Hoffmeister offers. In my experience, the Course runs so deep that it is far too easy to offer a milder version of its understanding to find acceptance in the world. David doesn’t do this; he gives the understanding that he has himself been given, and to find such a teacher, unflinching before the cloudy eyes of the world, is a great grace indeed. Some years ago now, I asked to be guided to a teacher that held the light of Self-realization within himself. I think it was the very same day that I became aware of David.”
